VITAL THEATRE COMPANY, producers of the hit Off-Broadway family show, PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL, now running in New York City and Toronto, has released a new block of tickets for the New York production which includes selected weekday shows. The production continues performances Saturdays and Sundays at 1 pm through January 30, 2011 with school holiday performances at 4pm on October 11th, November 2nd, 11th and 26th, December 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th and January 17th, 2011.   Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.pinkaliciousthemusical.com or by calling (212)579-0528. The BLEECKER STREET THEATRE is located at 45 Bleecker Street (North side of Bleecker Street, between Lafayette & Mott Streets).

The one hour musical, with book and lyrics by ELIZABETH KANN and VICTORIA KANN, and music, lyrics and orchestrations by JOHN GREGOR, is based on the popular children’s book PINKALICIOUS by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann. The musical adaptation is directed by TERESA K. POND with choreography by DAX VALDES and musical direction by JAD BERNARDO with original direction by SUZU McCONNELL-WOOD.

The cast features JONATHAN BAUCHMAN, JONNY BEAUCHAMP, JOHN GALAS, MOLLY GILMAN, KRISTIN PARKER, ERIC RESTIVO, BRIDGET RILEY, KYLA SCHOER and EMILY YATES .

Vital Theatre Company opened the first Canadian production of PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL in Toronto on October 10th, 2009, and the musical is now showing at the Al Green Theatre, July 3rd to September 19th, 2010.

A CSA is a way to buy locally grown organic food directly from the farmer. A box of fresh organic vegetables is delivered every week to your area for pick up. 

Now I’m cooking up kale…

Kale Crisps Recipe:

Wash and cut the kale. Sprinkle with olive oil and salt and bake at 350 degrees until crisp. Crunch away!

Margaret Fuller (1810-1850) was the author of Woman in the Nineteenth Century, editor of the intellectual journal The Dial, and the first woman permitted in Harvard’s library, to name just a few of her many accomplishments. She was also a teacher, journalist, mother and feminist.

This year celebrates the bicentennial of her birth. Events and plays are scheduled throughout the year.
