Located in New York City, the Museum of Motherhood celebrates the achievements of mothers and aims to empower women through education. Traveling exhibits include “Moms Who Rock” and “Motherhood In Motion”. The current online exhibit is “Motherhood Around The Globe” and can be viewed here.

Tyler Arboretum in Media, PA

The Tyler Arboretum includes 650 acres of trees and trails. Established in 1946, the park has trees that were planted in 1825, including a giant sequoia. The Totally Terrific Treehouses Exhibit opened this month in April and continues through November. You can view photos of the treehouses and a video of the exhibit here.

Pinkalicious The Musical is now in its sixth year of the Vital Theatre New York City Production and in its third year of the Vital Theatre Toronto Production at the The Lower Ossington Theatre. Pinkalicious The Musical is also in its second year in Chicago at the Emerald City Theatre at the Broadway Playhouse.

Snow Geese Migration at Middle Creek

March is the time when thousands of snow geese stop by Stevens, PA on their migration to Canada. Tundra swans, herons, bald eagles and visiting bird watchers can also be spotted at the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. The snow geese can fly up to 50 miles per hour and can live for more than 25 years.

The Philadelphia Flower Show

Opening on Sunday March 4th, the Philadelphia International Flower Show at the Pennsylvania Convention Center is a gardener’s dream. The theme this year is ‘Hawaii: Islands of Aloha’. The flower show is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society. The last day to see the show is Sunday March 11th.

The High Line Park in New York City

The High Line is a trail built on an old freight rail line that is elevated above the streets of the West Side of lower Manhattan. The first section, from Gansevoort Street to 20th Street, opened in 2009, and the second section to 30th Street opened in 2011. A third section to 34th Street is planned.
