reads her cenotaph in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA.
Margaret Fuller (1810-1850) was the author of Woman in the Nineteenth Century, editor of the intellectual journal The Dial, and the first woman permitted in Harvard’s library, to name just a few of her many accomplishments. She was also a teacher, journalist, mother and feminist.
This year celebrates the bicentennial of her birth. Events and plays are scheduled throughout the year.
