What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.

After reading the Omnivore’s Dilemma by Michael Pollan, I signed up for a CSA share.

A CSA is a way to buy locally grown organic food directly from the farmer. A box of fresh organic vegetables is delivered every week to your area for pick up.

Now I’m cooking up kale…

Kale Crisps Recipe:

Wash and cut the kale. Sprinkle with olive oil and salt and bake at 350 degrees until crisp. Crunch away!

To find a CSA in your area, visit the Local Harvest website.

Thank you, Michael Pollan!
